Built from the sideline

When Teri Brooks began tracking stats for her second-grade son’s football team, she wanted to help athletes see their progress and give coaches meaningful information. Over four years and roughly 15 seasons, that sideline system evolved through hands-on experience and feedback from coaches, parents, and players.

Co-founder Janice Grimsley brought a shared passion, shaped by helping her own son gain visibility with college scouts and earn scholarships. Together, they built Blitz Board Stats around a belief that still guides us today: every athlete deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported.

Over the past year and a half, that mission has grown far beyond the youth sidelines. Today, high school and college programs are at the heart of our platform, with our work extending into professional flag football. We have served as the official statistics partner for the ECAC Women’s Flag Football Championships and supported stats at the Phil Simms North/South All-Star Games, WFL Summit Bowl, California State Games, and MaxPreps Showdown.

These experiences have shaped a platform built for the realities of the game. From live statistics and team management to player profiles and season analytics, BBS helps coaches make informed decisions, athletes document their development, and families celebrate achievements.

As girls’ and women’s flag football grows, we are building the tools to help programs capture their stories and give athletes’ accomplishments lasting visibility.

Blitz Board Stats is an Official MaxPreps Stat Import Partner for flag football and is proud to be WBENC-certified as a woman-owned business. We are also a winner of the Elevate SoCal AI Pitch Competition, supported by the San Diego Imperial Valley SBDC Network.
