Girls' and women's flag football is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. It's sanctioned in more states every year, and the college game, at the NAIA, club, and conference level, is expanding right alongside it. That means something new for flag athletes: recruiting is real, and stats are part of the pitch.

So what do college coaches actually look at?

They look for a season, not a highlight

One great game is a clip. A season of consistent production is a recruit. College coaches want to see sustained numbers across games and tournaments: completion percentage that holds up, flag pulls that don't dip, receptions that keep coming. A full season history tells that story far better than a single box score.

The numbers that travel

Different positions get noticed for different things, but these consistently matter:

  • Quarterbacks: completion %, passing yards, passing touchdowns, touchdown-to-interception balance
  • Receivers: receptions, reception %, total yards, longest plays
  • Defenders: flag pulls, deflections, interceptions

Context matters too. The same stat line means more against stronger competition and in bigger tournaments.

Make the stats easy to share

A coach shouldn't have to dig for your numbers. Shareable player stat cards from a single game, a tournament, or a whole season put the story in a format you can drop into a message or post to social in seconds. Conference-wide leaderboards show where an athlete stacks up against the field. Here's how to build an athlete profile with stats, highlights, and a bio.

Why this is personal for us

Our co-founder built part of this platform while helping her own son attract college scouts and earn scholarships. We know what it takes to get an athlete seen, and we believe every player deserves that shot, girls' flag very much included. Blitz Board Stats is a proud official stats partner of the ECAC for women's flag football.
