Download the printable PDF01Before you start
- New to Blitz Board Stats? Take the in-app Tour, which walks through each prompt and layout.
- Turn on Show Hints for step-by-step instructions while you track live plays.
02Game day setup
- Come prepared: get set up while the team warms up.
- Charge your device and stay on strong Wi-Fi or LTE.
- Use one statistician per game to avoid duplicate entries.
- Confirm every player is on the roster before kickoff. Tell your coach if anyone is missing so they can be added in time.
03Start and end the game
- 1Tap Start Game.
- 2For each play, select the play type, assign the player, and confirm.
- 3Tap End Game when the game is over, review the summary, and make any corrections.
04Notes and corrections
- Add a note to any play during the game. If you make an error, add a note right away to flag it.
- Fix mistakes live while tracking, or after End Game. Either way works.
05Special teams: punting (your team is kicking)
- 1On the tracking screen, keep the Special teams box checked and toggle to Punting.
- 2Confirm the field position or yard line.
- 3Tap Choose under Manage Roster to select the punter.
- 4Tap the result: Down, Return, Touchback, Out of Bounds, or Fumbled/Muffed Punt.
- 5For a Return, enter the return yard line, then pick the result: Flag Pull, Return Touchdown, Player Out of Bounds, Player Down, Safety, or Lateral Pass.
06Special teams: receiving (your team is returning)
- 1Toggle to Receiving and confirm the field position or yard line.
- 2Enter Punt Received At, the yard line where your player fielded the punt, and tap Confirm & Track Play.
- 3Pick the return result: Flag Pull, Return Touchdown, Player Out of Bounds, Player Down, or Safety.
- 4If the ball changed hands during the return, use Lateral Pass instead of a return result.
Muffed punts:If the receiving team never cleanly controls the ball, log Fumbled/Muffed Punt on the punting side and skip the return result. The Punting / Receiving toggle only affects the current play.

Common questions
- Can more than one person track the same game?
- Use one statistician per game. Two people tracking the same game creates duplicate entries.
- What if I log a play wrong?
- Fix it live while tracking, or add a note to the play and correct it after End Game.
- Do I need to download an app?
- No. Add blitzboardstats.com to your phone or tablet home screen and it opens like an app.
